Constellar Origin: The full Reveal
We have finally come to the end of our first Relaunch Notes: the grand reveal!
After months of deliberation and refinement, we are proud to present to you, the Constellar Origin collection. The five colour-ways are a result of numerous rounds of testing, and we feel each dial differs sufficiently from each other, while retaining a sense of cohesiveness as a collection.
The "Arctic" features a geometric pattern engraved onto the base dial, and finished with a clear glossy coat. Accents (date wheel base, minute markers) will be in pastel blue.
The "Matcha" is a rather unique shade of green, which we seldom see in modern watches. We took inspiration from Matcha "抹茶", finely-ground green tea, to create a dial which will resemble polished jadeite in the light. The dial texture uses a "diamond" sun-burst in relief, which once again follows the motif which recurs throughout the entire watch.
Our favourite colour-way so far! The "Yam" is inspired by yam ice-cream, a child-hood favourite of ours. In reality, this colour hue is actually a shade of grey-blue, which exists within the blue spectrum, but appears as purple to our eyes, through a visual illusion caused by the juxtaposition of light and shadows. The "Yam" will feature the same diamond-sunburst dial as the "Matcha".
The"Aegea" features a rich shade of blue, reminiscent of the ocean post-sunset. The dial texture is Linen, with a fumé effect along the raised dial. Linen dials have been used to great effect in the vintage watches we adore, and we are delighted to bring it back to prominence in the Origin collection.
The last model of the Origin collection is also a special one. The "Bourbon"s case and bracelet will be finished entirely in hard-coated PVD Gold, with a linen+fumé dial. This variant will be released as a limited edition of only 38 pieces.
